Voice to Entry
Say what happened.
Keep the money clear.
The lunch you covered. The money they repaid. The details you still remember. Speak or type naturally, and turn them into entries for the right people.
One or several entries · Free and paid plans, with limits
Voice and text interpretation need internet. Review anything unclear; edit or undo what saves.
You say
“I paid €60 for lunch. Split equally between me, Alex and Sam.”

Say which loan it belongs to.
“Alex paid me €50 towards his Car loan.” Name the existing loan with the payment, and keep it in the right record without opening several screens.
Use a loan already saved under that person. If the loan is unclear, you review and select it; the app checks the person and loan again before saving.

From a money moment to a clear record.
- 01
Speak or type
Tap the AI button on Home. Tap Dictate if recording has not started, describe what happened, then Create entry. Typing works too.
- 02
Keep the details
People, amounts, direction and dates become regular entries. For regular entries, include a note, currency, repeat, interest or due date when you need it.
- 03
Save or review
Clear, complete entries can save after validation and plan checks. Unclear details need review; new people need your confirmation. Edit or undo saved entries.
Everyday words. Useful entries.

All examples use fictional people. Saved states assume unique existing matches, complete details and an available allowance. This demonstration never records audio, sends your text or creates real records.
Example 01
Lend. Repay. Keep the history.
“Yesterday I lent Alex 50 euros for groceries. Today Sam paid me back 20 euros for lunch.”
Two entries, for two people. Amounts, direction, purpose and date stay with each entry.

A payment. An advance. The same loan.
“Alex paid me €50 towards his Car loan. I lent Alex another €100 on his existing Car loan.”
Alex and the Car loan are already saved. One repayment received, one principal advance—each linked to Car. Use either sentence on its own, or both together.
Name the loan clearly. Unclear, duplicate or missing matches keep the entry for your review and selection; “paid me back” alone does not link a loan.
Voice does not create a loan or change its terms or repayment plan. Interest belongs to the loan.

One name. Two money moments.
“Yesterday I lent Alex 30 euros for groceries. Today they paid me back 10 euros.”
When the meaning is clear, the person mentioned once can carry into the next entry. Both entries stay in Alex’s history.

Four people. Three entries.
“I paid 500 euros for me, Masha, Tom and Michael. Split equally.”
€500 ÷ 4 = €125 each. Your €125 share is excluded; the other three shares become regular entries. For a different share: “I paid €20 for lunch. Masha owes me half” → one €10 You → Masha entry. You can also state exact amounts, such as “Alex owes €20 and Sam owes €10.”

A new name is your decision.
“I lent Alex 30 euros for groceries. I lent Maya 15 euros for a taxi.”
Alex is already added; Maya is new. Alex’s clear entry can save. Maya’s entry stays unsaved until you confirm Add person & save entry, or choose an existing person. An incomplete entry uses Add person & review entry.

Say the settings with the amount.
“I lent Alex 100 euros today, repeating monthly, with 4 percent annual interest and a due date of next Friday.”
Currency, recurrence, interest and a due date or one-time payment reminder can stay with a regular entry. Voice does not create a separate Loan Record or repayment plan.

A batch can contain saved entries and entries that still need attention. Each result keeps its own status clear.
Review what’s uncertain
Open a prefilled editor and correct the details. Ambiguous people or loans need your selection; unclear bill shares remain unsaved.
Confirm new people
Review the editable name before choosing Add person & save entry or Add person & review entry. Nothing creates a person without your confirmation.
Change your mind
A single saved entry has a compact confirmation with Edit and Undo. Multiple entries have individual result cards, so you can see what saved and what needs review.
Choose what comes next
Plan checks happen before saving. Entries beyond an allowance remain visible with an explicit Upgrade choice. An upgrade never confirms a new person for you.
Start with the next money moment
Open Home. Tap the AI button.
You can begin before adding your first person. Adding people first can help matching; new names always need confirmation. Your first recording starts manually with Dictate. After successful use, eligible future sessions can start recording when the AI button opens.
Prefer the keyboard? Type instead. Need an example in the app? Open Voice guide from the recording screen.

Before your first dictation.
Do I need to add people before using voice?
No. Tap the AI button on Home even before your first real person is added. Adding people first can make matching easier. For a new explicit name, review the editable name and confirm adding the person. A new person uses your app’s default currency; the entry keeps any supported currency you stated. Applying several entries to that same new person also needs your explicit choice.
Can one recording create several entries or split a bill?
Yes. Describe entries for one person or several people. For a shared bill, say who paid, who took part and how to divide it. “I paid €60 for lunch. Split equally between me, Alex and Sam” creates two €20 entries; your own €20 share is excluded. If another person paid, only your own share owed to that payer is recorded. Voice splits create regular entries, not a Group Payback or collaborative group ledger.
What happens if a name or detail is unclear?
The entry stays unsaved for review in a prefilled editor. Same-name ambiguity requires selecting exactly one person; approximate names can suggest matches without silently choosing an identity. Unclear participants, payer or unallocated totals need review rather than a guessed split. Saved entries can be edited or undone.
Can I record a loan repayment by voice?
Yes. Name the person and an existing loan, for example “Alex paid me €50 towards his Car loan.” You can also add a principal advance to that loan, use either in a batch, or explicitly link one allocated split share. The loan must already exist under the matched person. A clear, unique name can match among several loans; a generic “his loan” only selects automatically when that person has exactly one eligible loan. “Paid me back” alone does not link a loan. Duplicate, unclear or missing loan matches keep the entry for review and selection. The app checks identities and loan eligibility again before saving. Voice does not create loans or change loan terms or repayment plans. Linked payments can retain date, note, currency, recurrence and a due date or one-time reminder; interest belongs to the loan, not a new setting on each payment.
Which financial details can I include?
Person, amount, gave or received direction, transaction date, purpose or note, currency, recurrence, interest, and a due date or one-time payment reminder. For an ordinary entry without an explicit currency, the matched person’s currency is used, then your app’s default. A shared-bill split without a currency uses the app default. A stated supported currency is retained.
Does voice work offline, and what are the limits?
Transcription and interpretation need internet. Manual entry and local records work offline. Free and paid users can use voice with applicable plan limits. Record for up to three minutes and request up to ten entries at a time, subject to allowances. Entries beyond an allowance stay visible with an explicit Upgrade choice.
